We aspire to organise a range of activities for our members and the general public:
- French lessons and tutorials for adults and children
- Social games of pétanque and tarot
- Various other social activities, such as brunches, picnics and dinners, our annual Bastille Day event and occasional excursions with the French Car Club of Tasmania.
A calendar of events is published a few months in advance and invitations to individual events are sent 10-14 days in advance. There’s always the opportunity to speak French, but you don’t need to be a French speaker or to be learning French. It’s more than sufficient to have just an interest in the people, language, country, food, wine, music or literature … even French cars.
We invite you to join the Alliance, enjoy our activities and help to build an interesting and stimulating organisation where members from all walks of life can enjoy common interests. Our 2008-09 subscriptions are:
$15 for full-time students to Year 12
$20 for singles
$30 for couples or for family membership

If you’re already a member and would like to stand for election to the Committee, this opportunity is open at our Annual General Meeting in late March each year. Nomination forms are sent with the Notice of Meeting. |
